What Does Christmas Mean To Me

What was hard not being able to see family around the world is probably the hardest thing about christmas this year.

What was easy writing about christmas was quite easy for me. And eating great food over the christmas holidays.

Fireworks Acrostic Poems

We were learning about acrostic poems and learning about what they are. Today I wrote a acrostic poem my poem is about Fireworks and we were also learning about Guy Fawkes. Also how Guy Fawkes was form and why we celebrate Guy Fawkes.

What was easy the most easiest thing for me was getting my mahi done and finding some cool words for my acrostic poem.

What was hard finding the right words for my acrostic poem and also finding the right background for my poem.

Second Digital Postcard

Today we were learning about Digital postcards, we were also learning not to put our real address on our postcard. And we got creative with our writing and backgrounds. As you see I'm not really in the swiss alps, as much as I wish I was. I would not be standing on top of a snowy mountain in shorts, t-shirt and in bare feet. I would get hypothermia, and I don't want that.

Something that I found easy was to actually imagine that I was in the swiss alps on the coldest holiday ever skiing down the biggest mountains and seeing the most ice covered lake that I've ever seen. And seeing some awesome images of the swiss alps on explore in google slides 

Something I found quite challenging was making these stems a lot more detailed, and having rich sentences throughout my postcard/postcards. Another hard thing for me was staying on task during our time to finish this cool mahi. Which is one thing that I need to start working hard on.

Next Time I could really Imagine that I was in the swiss alps and having so much fun instead of thinking hard about this cool mahi we are doing. And to have a lot more positive attitude towards this cool mahi.

Colours In Maori And English

 We were learning about The maori culture and the maori colours as well as the maori Nga Tae.

I found it easy to remember the names of the maori colours and write them down.

I found it challenging to find the colours and manage my time

Next time I will work a lot more because I know this is not my best work. In the near future I will make my work the best I can.

Rangi And Papa E-book Nikau Ropu

 We were learning about the history of maori legends and about the story of rangi and papa.

I found it easy to create my piece of writing and collaborate with my cooperative ropu.

I found it challenging to help work on my slide and collaborate with my ropu.

Next time I will give lots of feedback to my cooperative ropu.

Persuasive writing Sample

Kia Ora today i'm am going to show you my persuasive writing sample. My writing sample is about that the environment is our responsibility, as a country we need to start to think a little bit 

more about how we are littering  and making our country a disgrace. But not just our country we are making our whole world a disgrace. We need to stop littering and making an effort to help clean up Aotearoa and the rest of the world. If you see this you could go to your teacher and say can we have a big clean up day and go and pick up rubbish around your town. Come on and help clean up our great  and become a Aotearoa kaitiaki.

Hi my name is Jethro I go to Awapuni School Gisborne. My Dad comes from New Zealand and my Mum comes from Australia and I have a little brother and big sister.
